Mechanicsville United FC

Mechanicsville United FC is a  non-profit corporation and comes with over 47 years of experience in soccer. MUFC offers a variety of soccer   programs for all ages including Recreational, Travel & soccer lessons for Individuals and small groups. MUFC  trains and plays games at Mechanicsville / Hanover County fields and is open to all surrounding counties. MUFC  partnered with Richmond Kickers to offer a wider scope to its travel program (Richmond Kickers Mechanicsville) and has realized tremendous growth in our travel program. MUFC Rec and Richmond Kickers Mechanicsville participates in tournaments in Virginia with exposure to college coaches and tournaments and showcases out of state. Through our Richmond Kickers partnership MUFC is the only Hanover based club to offer Elite and Academy soccer as well as the Richmond ADSL league. Formed May 28th 2009 from the dreams of  Mechanicsville  resident Manny Tavares who wanted to provide soccer players  with a fun experience yet allow those who wanted to further their game play a club with a rich history of soccer. MUFC is proud of their club founder Manny Tavares who in 2015 coached Hanover High Hawks Boys Varsity soccer to Conference 20 Championship, 4A Regional Final and the VHSL 4A State Final held at Liberty University.
Congrats to our founder on his 2018 inaugural season as Head Coach Hanover High Girls soccer, winner 4B Regional Championship, semi finalist 4B state championship and named 4B Regional coach of the year!!!!
